Share strategies for community organizations to engage with faith communities.<br /><br />**Presenters:**<br />- Elder Angela Overton: Senior Advisor to the Interfaith and Diversity Workgroup, C-TAC<br />- Rev. Dale Susan Edmonds: Pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ, and Founder of talk-early-talk-often.com<br />- Gloria Thomas Anderson, PhD, LMSW: Founder and President of Heart Tones<br />- Lauryn Valladarez: Faith and Community Outreach Manager, Interfaith Community Services<br /><br />**C-TAC Goals:**<br />C-TAC works towards ensuring high-quality, person- and family-centered care for advanced illness patients that align with their values and dignity. This is achieved through various initiatives, including policy advocacy, caregiver support, and community organizing.<br /><br />**Highlight Initiatives:**<br />- Interfaith & Diversity Workgroup partners with faith leaders and organizations to ensure culturally sensitive and inclusive advanced illness care.<br />- Rev. Edmonds addressed the pandemic's impact on the health system and stressed the importance of preparedness and ongoing support.<br />- Anderson discussed culturally responsive advance care planning tools for African-American communities and collaborations with healthcare services.<br /><br />**Faith and Community Engagement:**<br />The program underlined the importance of faith as a stabilizing force during crises, turning towards service, community support, and spiritual care.<br /><br />**Future Events:**<br />The next HCCIntelligence webinar is scheduled for August 19, 2020, focusing on integrating occupational therapy into home-based primary care in collaboration with Midwestern University and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.
